Carl B. Clark was born in Greenport New York 1950 to Carl and Christine Clark. He later moved to Wyandanch Long Island at the age of 11 and graduated from Wyandanch Memorial H.S. in 1968. Carl is married to his beautiful wife Jessica and have three daughters; Krishana, Carlisha and Carla. He is the grandfather of seven.
Clark began his coaching career as the Junior High Boys Basketball at the age of 20. This went on to open many great doors for coaching such as the girls basketball team in high School as well as the head coach of women basketball at BarBer- Scotia college.
Clark was licensed and ordained as a minister in 2003. He later became an ordained Elder In the Church of God in Christ 2013. Clark enjoys serving the Lord with all his heart. He is also very active in The Wyandanch community as well as in The North Carolina surrounding areas where he now resides with his lovely wife Jessica.
I enjoy worshipping the Lord, sports, volunteering with the youth, reading, helping in my church and mentoring people of all ages. Because of my strong foundation in the Word of God, I carry it with me wherever I go. I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family and my amazing grandchildren. Above all I enjoy writing and sharing my testimony with all who listens..

I played basketball for Wyandanch High School and Mr. Carl Clark was my assistant coach. I remember when I said I can’t do a left handed layup. He trained me to make sure that I never had those words in my vocabulary moving forward. Never say never/can’t. I also sent my brother a copy of the book and recommended it to someone who also loved the book and historical events that took place throughout the years.

    Challenge yourself.

Awesome coach and a very good book that lays out a lot of history that was never known to me or taught unless you lived in that time.

Thank you Mr. Carl Clark for all that you have done for Wyandanch and Rest In Peace and my condolences to your family.

As a graduate in the Class of '67, I remember many names and relationships. After graduating and leaving the country I missed the news the accomplishments of the school, the teams and the leadership on Carl and Warren . I am grateful for the history lesson this book provides.

I truly enjoyed reading the history of 11798 Warriors 4Life, an Autobiography of Bro. Carl B. Clark. The rich history of Wyandanch, the story of the many obstacles that were just stepping stones to a truth never denied, and his love of basketball and coaching are interesting reading. As everyone likes to see their name in print, it was a pleasure to read the few responses of Carl's fraternity brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., as they waxed nostalgic of their reasons for pledging. All in all, a very good read and 5 stars from me!

If you were a part of men's or women's basketball in the Wyandanch area from the 1960s to the 90s, you will love reading Coach's memories of your playing days. He puts the seasons in historical perspective and gives a frame of reference in looking back on his experiences as a player and coach. Carl Clark's love of the game and of the people he coached comes through clearly in this fun read.

This is an easy to ready, insightful book. Elder Clark engages his audience on every page. Giving them a front row seat to understand not only the makeup of the Wyandanch community but also enabling us to view the blocks of the community through the tool of basketball. As the basketball team builds character and fosters teamwork, so does the community.
