- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2017"Unsocial Media Management" is a delightful, insightful read, absolutely chock-full of great advice on how to deal with negative people. The author has a "one-liner" writing style that lends itself to page-turning quick reading. There's gobs of quotable quotes in there to boot - from cover to cover. Although focused on the Online aspect of "unsocial media management," Booth writes that the skills being taught in his book are applicable to normal, in-person social interactions as well, and it's true! There's no doubt that the principles he outlines in this book will work to make your business (and personal) social media interactions more powerful, meaningful, and genuine. As Booth mentions, everyone is watching what you and your business put online, so if you want yourself and your company to look good, you have to know how to deal with negative people when they come along - and Brandy will walk you through just how to do that in this excellent book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2017This is the first book I've come across that focuses on strategies for dealing with negative people in on-line forums and similar electronic venues. The author does an excellent job of not only explaining how - as a business person - to respond and why, but he backs it up with real-life examples from his own experience to show what he did and what the result was. The approach is down-to-earth, practical, and constructive. This book has wide application and is a valuable resource for anyone concerned about how to successfully present themselves, and the business they represent on-line, in a way that will leave their viewers with a positive impression - which is always good for the bottom line !
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2017This book will become my go-to every time I need to deal with social media negativity! I am an administrator on a couple of business pages, along with working in retail management, and dealing with social media negativity and live customer issues are a part of my daily life. I am grateful for all of the ideas and knowledge this book gives am ALMOST looking forward to the next episode of "people who thrive on negativity and drama" just so I can try out my new skills! Thank you for this insightful read!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2017For most businesses, social media can be a swamp… treacherous, at times even deadly. But Brandy Booth's breakthrough book "Unsocial Media Management for Business" is not about draining the swamp. No. It's about turning the clamor and chaos into creative opportunity. Social media is here to stay. Harness its power and you charge up your audience and your business. This book lays out the perfect pathway for doing just that.
If you fear negativity or are frustrated with the state of social media as it applies to your business, you'll find relief, comfort, and safe haven contained in the pages of this book. Booth's discussion of the "7 authentic examples" to counteract unsocial attacks is pure gold. In fact, I've printed them out and pinned them to my office wall. I believe anyone who owns or manages a business would be wise to do it, too.
"Unsocial" is an easy read. But don't be fooled. It's jam-packed with practical methods, tips and examples guaranteed to boost your bottom line. Take these lessons to heart and your business just might be the most sociable one on the block.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2017This is an easy read, and a handy guide for folks who find themselves managing any presence online. It gave me tools I can put to use immediately in both my at-work social media profiles, and my personal ones as well. I strongly recommend it to bloggers, on-line personalities, and people who manage social media pages for corporate or operational groups as another tool to keep from getting sucked into the negativity that so pervades the on-line world.
Buy it. Read it. I promise you'll use it.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2017I think this is a MUST read for anyone with a large online presence, who is engaged in debates online or who is a blogger/vlogger. The approach is quick witted and easy to read. It approaches social media in a fun, yet realistic way while explaining how to be your authentic self without engaging people. So often the core of our messages are lost in "debate" where no one is really "listening". We're just typing furiously. I will be recommending this to my friends on you-tube as well as bloggers.
